Mark Andrejevic who is the author of this article, he explains that the media development has increased interactivity. His main argument is based on the interaction of different perspectives and their impact. It is also of interest to television producers, whether or not from their audience's attention and the use of instant feedback.

The case Study television without pity This website is used by Mark to support his analysis. This site gives viewers the opportunity to provide feedback on any program. It is a voice to say what they like, dislike and how producers improve their work. The results of the survey concluded that the large number of users TWoP convinced that they had feedback on some of the effects on writers and producers. TWoP provides a platform for producers to directly access the viewer's perspective, and viewers can use the producer's point of view. TWoP allows this form of interaction to support shared controls. Mark once again uses his own online survey as an example to show the impact of web interaction. Nearly a third of respondents believe TWoP enhances the entertainment value of TV programs.

Mark highlights an incident that happened with Aaron Sorkin, creator of the show West Wing. According to a New York Times account, Sorkin felt that fans like TWoP users were hard-core Internet users as obese shut-ins who lounge around in muumuus and chain-smoke Parliaments.I agree with the authors argument because I feel that producers do notice and use the feedback. The Aaron Sorkin example supports my agreement because whether producers like what they see or not, they are paying attention to their viewers regardless. I believe they are benefiting from what is called free labour.

But this argument is very important in this era, because we live in a society where multiple media platforms coexist. Discuss My Media Lessons Teach me about the importance of participatory culture, and how we are no longer separate from the different media in our lives. TWoP invites fans to participate, which means that consumers can become producers and create new media content.

As technology is emerging and becoming vaster everyday, will the participatory culture of online fans takeover the producers creative minds and jobs, do other research methods need to be applied?
