The essay argues that the relationship between the TV producer and audiences. Like the essay announce that, “a good review in the print media is important” (p. 26), whatever the review is good or not, they are really suit and help the TV producer to improve their TV. If one people critic your production, then you should check once again; if ten people critic, then you should correct your idea.

Making TV is not for personal interest, it is for audiences, same as what do the essay told us, “many television shows have created official web sites” (p. 24). It is because TV producer cannot phoned to every audiences to ask how they improve their production one by one, therefore an official web site is needed. Online fans give out their opinions to critic the TV that they watched through the web site, other audiences also can study their opinion in order to clearly to know the meaning of the TV show.

It is not sure that do Hong Kong TV station really check on the online fans sites, but in the West, like TWoP, a fan site which given as an example in the essay, producer look through TWoP as an audience and to check whether their production is good or not. It means that online fans can toward the TV production, and this is the productivity and the duty of them.

I do not like the online fan sites which created by the TV station such as TVB, it is because may be there will have some people who had taken money from TVB and help them to promote. But I am quite agree to the point from the essay, “TV should be more viewer driven and I think TWoP is a foundation for a movement toward that.” (p. 26). Somehow, we can getting the meaning from the online sites without watching the TV, although it will loss the original hoping of produce TV, however, when we look through the debate by agree part and disagree part in the online sites, we can learn more and more. Such as a legal drama, maybe we just think that it is telling us how the lawyer use legal to punish criminal. However, “the board” of this TV can give out another opinion, such as it is critiquing the society.

TV show is an un-real things, no matter how the online fans can toward the TV production by given their opinions, the original idea of producing TV is to let family to relax, but not argue. That’s why I don’t like the online fan sites.
