In reading " The Allure of Social Games, Synthetic Worlds, and Second Lives" , it understand that the main idea is the young man have fall into games instead of watching TV. Nielsen point out that those young people are missing , although those young still watching TV but they only watch online or when they are doing other things. It have been clear show that the trend has been change.

In this reading they have do a research on the increase the people of game player, but it is keep decrease of the people watch TV. There are many interviewees tell why they will like to play online games or even have their social life online. Those interviewees think that watching TV is very boring, they just sit and doing nothing, it is not same as playing games. In games they can do many meaningful things is will not easy to boring. The most important thing of playing online games is they can meet some new friends, sometimes they may meet in their real life. They think that can be increase their social network. Some example of game like World of Warcraft(WOW) , Wii and soccer game they can be know more new friends.

Nowadays most of the young people will choose to play video games instead of watching TV, in this reading Chase as an example, he like playing computer games, he will spend a lot of time on playing computer games, his first MMORPG game is (World of Warcraft) , he point out that  it is enjoyed of meeting other online players. But it have reduced the time he spent with the real life friends.

The main argument of this reading is want to let people know that how the games can influences the media industry and the real life, lets take Chase as an example, he know that he is spending too much time on computer games . he spending 20- 30 hours on playing computer games, but he have forgot his real life that really is a problem .

At last, can those young people change back to the pass, but not only sit in front of the computer and making friends online it is time to come back to the real life or need to balance both .
